There is a critical shortage of blood in Lithuanian medical institutions, it was announced on Tuesday National Blood Center.
According to him, currently the need for blood in hospitals has increased significantly.
"It is necessary for society to understand that it is not possible to postpone blood donation, because patients in Lithuanian medical institutions need blood today - tomorrow may be too late," the report emphasizes.
The Blood Center reminds that donors are welcome not only at its stationary units in major cities of Lithuania, but also at mobile blood donation drives in smaller cities of the country.
