In April of this year, compared to 2020 in April, the death rate in the country increased by 9,3 percent, and the number of dead reached 3632 (last February – 3323).
Meanwhile, the birth rate decreased by 7% in April of this year: 1 children were born in Lithuania (847 in the corresponding period last year).
The number of permanent residents in the country decreased by 2 during the month and reached slightly more than 157 million at the beginning of April.
