Last August, the instant lottery "Happy Pets" appeared in stores across the country. The tickets, decorated with images and names of real kittens and puppies, quickly won the hearts of animal lovers. And one of them, a woman from Kėdainiai, won a purse of 75 euros.
Luna, a cat resembling a friend's pet, became a lucky symbol
A woman from Kėdainiškė purchased her lucky lottery ticket at her city's Maxima, located at Chemikų g. 1a. Of all the lotteries, the woman from Kėdainiškė chose the game "Happy Pets", and of the three remaining tickets, the middle one.
"I raised a cat myself for 17 years, one daughter has three dogs, another has a dog and a cat... In short, we are a family of animal lovers, which is why the lottery was chosen that way. And I initially took the very first ticket, but I changed my mind and took the second one," the player shares.
The woman from Kėdainiai started to erase the purchased ticket as soon as she returned from the store.
"I already thought it was unlucky. But the very last symbol coincided with a lucky one - and that symbol was Luna the cat. I smiled because my friend's cat is named Luna. And then I crossed out the prize box and my smile was replaced by surprise," recalls the winner of 75 euros.
The woman from Kėdainiai promises to spend the five-figure sum that has been added to her account on her daughters, their pets, and improving her own health.
New €75 prize and aid for shelters
A total of 1,2 million euros has already been won in the "Happy Pets" lottery. According to the organizers, this amount shows great interest in the game.
"So we decided to offer another series of tickets for this lottery. In the near future, new faces of kittens and puppies will be peeking out from ticket stands at points of sale - again inviting you to win up to 75 euros," Laura Skrebytė, head of the instant lotteries category at Loto.lt, introduces the news.
Also, as with the launch of the first series of tickets, financial support will be provided for homeless animals.
"Last year we collaborated with the shelter "Lesė". And this time we will contribute to the noble goals of two organizations - "SOS Animals" and "Little Friend". So that there are truly as many happy pets as possible," says L. Skrebytė.
