International Neighbor Day was celebrated in Europe on May 26. On that day and throughout the weekend, residents of the capital had the opportunity to visit events organized especially for this day all over Vilnius. Decorating workshops were organized with female artists, improvised hobby markets where people sold their products, even special movie screenings of the neighbors took place in the future apartments.
International Neighbor Day aims to bring communities together and promote social solidarity. Event first initiated in Paris, but today it is celebrated in 36 countries and involves more than 30 million people. population.
"Neighbors' Day in Lithuania started to be celebrated quite recently, and yet we already notice that the need to get together and cheerfully celebrate various holidays together with our neighbors is becoming more and more relevant. Every year, more and more people join this initiative, asking when and what will happen. Today, when purchasing a home, buyers often ask about the residents who live next door, they want to get to know them even before moving in, so such initiatives are really necessary for both future and existing neighbors", says Agnė Klevienė, organizer of neighbor days events at MG Valda company. building maintenance manager.

Neighbors of the "Antakalnis terrasos" project gathered for a hobby fair, during which they sold books, self-made clothes, and served baked goods.
