In the lowlands of the Kairėnai cemetery, where some graves were flooded during spring rains or heavy rains, the walkways UAB "Beaminstalled a surface sewage infiltration system.
Kairenai cemetery is an active cemetery of the city of Vilnius, its territory covers an area of about 9,5 hectares. Some of the burial sectors are low-lying, where low-conductivity and rainwater cannot quickly soak into the deeper layers of the soil, causing water to accumulate and flood about 10 burial sites and passageways.
Such a situation, which is repeated every year, causes reasonable dissatisfaction of the persons whose relatives are buried in this place. This year, it was decided to install additional infiltration wells so that the collected semi-conductive and rainwater will gradually be absorbed into the deeper, water-permeable sandy soil layers.
At the place where the water accumulates, a collection well is installed, from which the water enters through a pipeline into infiltration wells of 1,5 m diameter and 3 m depth, under which geotextile, geoplaster and a 0,3 m layer of concrete rubble are laid. The incoming water will absorb into the crushed stone, and then into the sand and gravel, the geotextile will be retained by the carriers. A total of 8 infiltration wells were installed.
After completing the installation of the pipeline and infiltration wells, "Grinda" will level the ground and restore the condition. In addition, the asphalt surfaces dug during the repair will be repaired
