Vilnius city municipality informs that due to intensive reconstruction work on heat supply networks in the capital, traffic restrictions on Žvejų Street are being extended. In order to ensure the safe and smooth progress of the work, the bicycle path on this street will not be available until June 24.
In addition, the section of Žvejų Street from Žalioji bridge to the building at A. Juozapavičiaus street 4A will be completely closed until July 9. This section will be inaccessible to all traffic – both pedestrians and car drivers.
The closure will also change the traffic organization on nearby Upės Street. At the intersection of Upės–Kalvarijų–Žvejų Streets, the second lane, which normally carries direct traffic to Žvejų Street, will be temporarily reserved for left turns to Kalvarijų Street.
The municipality apologizes for the temporary inconvenience and urges residents and visitors to carefully follow road signs and plan routes in advance. These works are an important part of the infrastructure renovation, ensuring safer and more efficient heat supply as the new heating season approaches.
