Presented at the Council meeting today Vilnius city municipalities Mayor and Council 2024 activity report.

By increasing the scope of public services, implementing strategic investment projects and strengthening the city's defense capabilities, we are working globally - throughout the city and in different areas of its life. We aim for our work to reach all citizens, because only in this way can we all be proud of being the creators of the capital," says the Mayor of Vilnius Valdas Benkunskas.
Vilnius – without forgotten corners
A detailed report from last year highlights 5 important highlights of the city, including record street renovation work, the construction of the National Concert Hall, the capital's defense policy plan, support for Ukraine, and various city sustainability initiatives.
The report, symbolically titled "Vilnius – without forgotten corners", also pays much attention to the changes taking place in the 21st district of the capital.
For example, in Grigiškės, in New City, in New Vilnius, new and renovated public spaces have been opened in Šnipiškės and Žvėrynas, and a plan has been prepared for the management of such spaces. In the old town and in Verkiai, Justiniškės and Žirmūnai bush planting activities were held, In Pilaite A new kindergarten was built, and a unique drone training area was opened in Šeškinė.
New extreme sports areas have been established in Fabijoniškės and Viršuliškės, Lazdynas – modern bicycle storage facilities, in Paneriai – an almost 4 km long bicycle path, in Karoliniškės, Naujininkai, Rasa, Wolffoot – cellular parking lots, in Antakalni The repair of the Nemenčinė highway continues, and the reconstruction of Tarandė Street has begun in Pašilaičiai.
The report also presents the achievements of Vilnius City Municipality in the areas of defense, urban renewal, mobility, education, sustainability, sports and wellness, culture, healthcare, social policy and innovation. A separate section of the report is dedicated to emphasizing the solidarity of the citizens with the freedom-fighting Ukraine.
