Today, Vilnius residents lit another unique Vilnius Christmas tree in the town hall square. The developers have integrated a live green Christmas tree into the 10-meter spatial luminous art installation. This impressive tree was created by the artists of the holiday studio Dominykas Koncevičius and Jolanta Tūraitė, who are also the authors of the main Christmas tree in Lithuania. The most beautiful greetings in Irish, French, Turkish, Croatian, Hindi, Farsi and other languages of the world, which were sent to Vilnius residents and guests of the city by representatives of foreign embassies residing in Lithuania, rang out by the Christmas tree. The traditional International Christmas Charity Fair and the Christmas Food Exhibition also created a festive mood in the Town Hall.
The International Christmas Charity Fair, which started on Saturday afternoon, gathered representatives of the embassies of various countries in Lithuania and people of good will in the City Hall to share the festive mood and kindness. The fourteenth edition of the fair was officially opened by the event's honorary ambassador, Mrs. Alma Adamkienė, this year's fair patron Janina Butkevičienė. At the long-standing fair, representatives of 34 countries and communities and 5 international Vilnius schools presented the traditions of their countries to Vilnius residents and guests of the city. The fair also featured stands of books, the International Vilnius Women's Association, arts and "Angels". Angels have already become small symbols of this fair. The funds collected during the Christmas charity fair will supplement the charity fund, which will support as many as 10 organizations this year.
Residents of Vilnius and guests of the city could purchase handicrafts, Christmas decorations, sweets and souvenirs made by the wives of ambassadors of foreign countries residing in Lithuania, embassy employees, and representatives of public organizations at the fair. For the first time in the history of the Christmas fair, visitors had the opportunity to learn Chinese calligraphy, take instant photos, and vote and choose the most liked Christmas decorations made by representatives of the countries.
The International Food Fair also spread the Christmas spirit in the Town Hall today - representatives of the stands of Turkey, Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, India, Ireland, Ukraine, Russia, Israel and the International Vilnius Women's Association served their delicacies here. The students of the Artūras Novikas Jazz School performed Christmas songs for the gathered guests of the holiday.
