On Saturday, a long-lived oak tree was cut down in the center of Vilnius, on Ceikinių street. Mayor of Vilnius Valdas Benkunskas calls it vandalism and assures that the real estate developers did not have permits to cut down the tree.
Meanwhile, UAB "Rinktinės NT", which purchased the plot on Ceikinių street, does not admit its guilt. The submitted comment claims that the tree in question is immature, less than a hundred years old, and that the root area is falling onto the stormwater network, causing obvious damage to it.
The president also expressed his dissatisfaction Gitanas Nauseda, calling it a barbaric attack.
We want to ask you, how do you assess the unilateral decision of the NT company to cut down the oak tree on Ceikinių street?
