Vilnius city municipalities the administration has signed a contract with the Public Institution Central Project Management Agency and is starting to implement the project "Management of Public Space in the Southern Target Area near Vingriu Street".
The aim of the project is to contribute to increasing the population's employment by creating conditions for the improvement of the residential and investment environment in the Southern targeted part of the Vilnius city territory. It is expected that the project will contribute to the increase in population concentration in the territory, which encourages the creation and development of businesses, and to meeting the needs of target groups: the conditions for the creation and development of businesses, the development of real estate and its price growth will improve, the quality of the living environment will increase, and the employment of residents will increase.
The following main works will be carried out during the implementation of the project "Management of Public Space in the Southern Target Area near Vingriu Street": sidewalks, footpaths, stairs on the slope, observation decks and terraces, greenery, spiral water pools and water cascades, installation of rainwater and water pipes networks, lighting, elements of small architecture.
The project is financed according to the implementation measure of the 2014-2020 European Union funds investment action program priority 7 "Promotion of quality employment and participation in the labor market" "Complex development of large cities"
The total value of the project is EUR 1, including EUR 490 from the European Regional Development Fund, EUR 688,06 from the state budget of the Republic of Lithuania, and EUR 1 from the municipal budget.
The estimated end of the project is 2022/01/31.
