After signing the contract for the renovation of the sports field of Vilnius Simon Konarskis Gymnasium, the reconstruction works will start this August. UAB "Dividio" will perform the contract works, their supervision will be carried out by the Vilnius development company. The stadium renovation work should be completed by 2024. July.
"Currently, we are reconstructing the sports fields of three more schools: Gabija gymnasium, Žirmūnai gymnasium and Lazdynai school. The renovation of the M. Biržiška gymnasium sports field will start soon. Our goal is to improve the sports infrastructure of schools in the city of Vilnius and at the same time provide better conditions for schoolchildren's sports", says the mayor of the city of Vilnius Valdas Benkunskas.
During the project, it is planned to install an artificial grass football field, long jump pit and acceleration track, field lighting, benches for reserve players and other sports facilities. The court will have basketball, square, and volleyball courts, as well as prefabricated tribunes for spectators. The area around the playground, footpaths, entrance to the school area will be improved.
"Sports infrastructure facilities are one of the priority directions of our company. We pay particular attention to the renovation of sports fields in educational institutions. During our work, we ensure that the playgrounds improve not only the physical education of schoolchildren, but also meet the needs of the community and city residents," says Laura Joffė, CEO of the Vilnius Development Company.
S. Konarskis gymnasium, located in Statybininų st. 5, the value of the works is 1,29 million. euros. This summer, contracts were also signed for the renovation of Gabija and Žirmūnai gymnasiums and the sports fields of Lazdynai school. The value of the Gabija gymnasium sports field contract amounts to approximately 1,86 million. euros, the project contractor is UAB "Rolana". The value of the Žirmūnai high school contract is about 3,39 million. euros, the project contractor is UAB "Sversa". The value of the contract for the renovation of the field of the Lazdynai School is 1,21 million. euros, the project contractor is Nosada UAB.
