Another public infrastructure improvement project of the district is starting, which will significantly improve the living environment and attractiveness of the city of Lentvaris.
Today, the director of the administration of the district municipality, Jolanta Abucevičienė, signed the contract for the implementation of the project "Modernization of the street lighting system of the city of Lentvari" with the director of Baltled UAB, Mindaugas Jasiulevičius.
The fact that the project is planned to be implemented through a partnership between the public and private sectors is unique. Therefore, this project is only the second of its kind in the entire country.
During the implementation of the project, it is planned to replace the street lighting fixtures and install part of the new lighting supports, changing overhead networks to underground cable networks or replacing worn out underground cable networks to new ones, installing a management and control system and ensuring efficient operation of the street lighting system.
The most important task of the project is the modernization of the street lighting infrastructure in the city of Lentvaris and the acquisition of a remote solar power plant. 53 streets with a total length of almost 31 thousand are planned. meters, renew the street lighting infrastructure, replace 187 lamps and 18 power cabinets in ten additional streets, purchase a remote solar power plant.
The project budget is EUR 2.461.902,56, of which: European Regional Development Fund funds - EUR 1.230.951,00, Municipal budget funds - EUR 1.230.951,56.
