As the first weekend of summer approaches, Trakai District Municipality traditionally invites you to a three-day event, May 30–June 1, in Trakai the bustling 33rd city festival "Trakai Summer 2025". This year we promise no less pleasant bustle, events, action and colors.
There will be no shortage of events throughout the three days. On Friday, May 30, the education fair "Science Shore" will invite you to Vytautas Magnus Bank and concert "Hello, Summer!". At the Trakai Culture and Art Center, we will embark on a new virtual reality experience "Creation of Worlds", based on the work of MK Čiurlionis, and on the terrace of the Trakai Art School, the annual youth folk dance festival "Žvaigždūnė" will delight. On the first evening of the festival, participants will be treated to a program dedicated to youth - the podcast "Žaidimų balsas" and a stand-up comedy by Evaldas Jasaitis.
On the morning of Saturday, May 31, Trakai will be awakened by orchestras, the market season will begin at the Town Hall Market, active entertainment will be offered, morning exercise "Let's move cheerfully in the morning by the lake", a children's festival "Colorful", children's bicycle, tricycle, and scooter competitions. Visitors will be welcomed by the Vilnius County Chief Police Commissariat, the Trakai District Police Commissariat, the Vilnius Fire and Rescue Board, the Trakai Fire and Rescue Service, Lithuanian army Demonstration programs of the 8th Infantry Company of the 804th Regiment of the Great Combat District of the National Defense Volunteer Forces and the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union. Everyone will be welcomed at the Trakai District Municipality Public Health Office, Public Library, Trakai Tourism and Business Information Center, Vilnius Territorial Health Insurance Fund, Blood Donation and other courtyards, in the Town of Nations.
Before the opening ceremony and the concert "We are connected by Trakai" a theatrical procession of groups, city and district institutions, and representatives of the municipality's partner cities participating in the celebration will march through the city. Music lovers will be treated to two festivals - the festival of national minorities "Here is our homeland, here is our home" and the festival of wind instrument orchestras "Atataria vamzdžiai". This most numerous and colorful day of the celebration will also bring together sports enthusiasts in various competitions and tournaments, and the curious will take part in a free educational tour and travel along the "History Trails".
The culmination of the celebration will be in the evening - on the main stage, the founder of "Hiperbolė" - maestro Viktoras Prapras with his band, Mantas Jankavičius and Beissoul & Einius will delight with their performances. The event will be hosted by the charismatic Rolandas Mackevičius, and the exciting day will be crowned by a laser and fountain show on Lake Galvė.
On Sunday, June 1, we will gain new experiences and learn more about the customs of the Trakai region and the culture of the peoples living there in culinary workshops - a kibinai baking education with traditional craftswoman Margarita Rajeckiene, a Tatar dumpling making lesson with Maja Ščuckiene, baking bread in a mobile oven with master Migle Dalgedaite, a culinary workshop "Father's Soup", a sightseeing hike-excursion "The Small Town of Karaim". Art lovers will be invited to a plein air, jazz improvisations "After Čiurlionis" and the project "Dialogues" - the Trakai Library's original song festival. We will invite you to try line dancing on the observation square in front of Trakai Island Castle.
