Trakai district municipality informs about the intentions to reconstruct the city's cultural palace and library. Project proposals prepared by UAB "Sienos" will be discussed with the public at the public meeting.
"The building of the House of Culture is being designed with four buildings. The library building (1.2) is being designed in the north, and the culture house building (1.1) is in the center of the plot. Along Vytauto st. two smaller buildings - the tourist information center (1.3) and the youth space (1.4) - are being designed with the perimeter construction set aside. These building blocks will restore the historical construction of Trakai, which was located near Vytautas St.," the design proposals say about the layout of the future building.
The project proposals indicate that 1 people will be able to visit the reconstructed complex at the same time: 171 people in the culture house, 885 visitors in the library, 251 people in the youth space building, 25 people in the tourist information center building.
Functional planning and application of housings
The design proposals briefly discuss the functional solutions of each case:
House of culture. The planned building of the culture house has two floors with a mezzanine and a basement. The main entrance to the building of the House of Culture is planned from the northern part of the building, from the representative square, which will connect the House of Culture with Vytautas Street. The visitor will enter the building and enter the lobby, where there is an art exhibition and an open cafe/bar serving up to 60 visitors. A new visitor staircase connecting the first floor to the basement floor is planned in the foyer. A visitor WC and a cloakroom are being designed in the basement.
From the foyer, the visitor will be able to enter the protected hall of the Trakai Palace of Culture, which will be completely renovated and adapted to the needs of the modern hall with this project. The hall will accommodate 440 spectators, two evacuation exits are planned. A control point is planned in front of the parterre. Behind the stage, a technical equipment room, a scenography preparation room and a scenography warehouse are being designed. There is a technical access to the technical equipment room with a gate for large-scale equipment or scenography decor. Behind the stage, 4 dressing rooms are being designed, one of them with bathroom. node Dressing rooms will have an exit in the southwest of the building. A staircase connecting the first floor with other floors is being designed. On the second floor, in the south of the building, there are 5 administration rooms and a rest room for employees. San is planned in the eastern part. nodes and auxiliary premises, two offices of creative groups, accommodating 12 visitors each, a choir studio, accommodating 45 choristers, ceramics and art studios, accommodating 10 visitors each.
Library. The library premises will have 2 floors with a basement floor and a mezzanine. Two main entrances are planned, one from the representative square, the other from the family outdoor space. The visitor will be greeted by a lounge with a subscription desk. Bathrooms are being designed next to the dressing area. nodes, auxiliary premises. The hall will lead to the event space serving 70 visitors. There is also an auxiliary room with technical access nearby. In the western part of the building, a computer classroom is planned, connecting with the staircase and the hall. In the eastern part, there is an adult section serving 60 visitors. Two staircases with elevators are designed in the building, connecting the first floor of the building with the basement floor, second floor and mezzanine.
On the second floor of the building, in the eastern part, a children's department serving up to 70 visitors is being designed, with bathroom. knots and shower. In the western part, administrative premises are planned - for the secretary, director, chief. the offices of the financier, methodology, IT specialist, farm manager, deputy, printing room, employee rest room, and san. node The eastern and western parts connect with the planned outdoor terrace, which is located on the roof of the operational library building. On the mezzanine floor, a space for chamber events with a capacity of 10 visitors and a technology space with a capacity of 5 visitors is planned.
Tourist information center. The building of the information center will have one floor. The main room for receiving visitors is planned, san. unit and auxiliary room.
Youth space. The building is planned to be one height with a basement. On the first floor, the main space is planned, accommodating 20 visitors and 2 employees. A meeting room and bathroom are planned on the basement floor. node The basement room will be connected with the basement rooms of other buildings.
