Tomas Vytautas Raskevičius, the candidate of the Freedom Party for the position of mayor of Vilnius who took part in the preliminary voting on Tuesday, does not hide his ambition to win the mayoral elections of the capital and hopes that his party will have the largest faction in the municipal council.
"We are ready to win the post of mayor of Vilnius and have the largest faction Vilnius city municipalities in the council", TV Raskevičius told reporters on Tuesday.
However, the politician regretted that the election campaign of the Vilnius City Self-Government was poor.
"There was a lot of attention on practical matters and little discussion about the direction of Vilnius in which the city is moving. And we wanted to talk about education, about a city that is convenient for everyone, and I think our Freedom Party campaign fulfilled that promise really well," he said.
The politician also noted that the Freedom Party has a lot of expectations in Elektrėnai as well.
Early voting in municipal council and mayoral elections began on Tuesday.
Voters who will not be able to vote on March 5 for various reasons. to come to their polling stations, not only on Tuesday, but also on March 1 and March 2 from 7:20 a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. they will be able to vote in advance. The CEC reminds that voters can vote in advance in any municipality in the country.
