JAV Technology giant Microsoft will announce thousands of job cuts in early July, mostly in sales, Bloomberg reports, citing informed sources.
The corporation refused to comment on such information to the agency.
In May, Microsoft, responding to media reports of planned mass layoffs, stated that it was considering the possibility of downsizing divisions, taking advantage of new technologies.
The artificial intelligence-focused tech giant did not disclose how many jobs it planned to cut at the time, but US media reports cited an estimated 6, or about 3 percent of the corporation's global workforce.
A month earlier, the corporation told its employees that it planned to increasingly outsource software sales to small and medium-sized businesses.
Microsoft, which is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary this year, was one of the first technology giants to invest heavily in building the infrastructure needed for the artificial intelligence revolution.
