Kyiv, May 11 (ELTA). Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he is ready to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He will "wait for Putin" in Turkey on Thursday, Zelensky wrote on the "X" network. At the same time, he called on Putin to support a ceasefire.
Putin told reporters overnight that Russia was ready for "serious negotiations without preconditions" and suggested that they "start next Thursday, May 15, in Istanbul."
The leaders of France, the United Kingdom (UK), Germany and Poland visited Kyiv on Saturday, in agreement with JAV President Donald Trump (Donald Trump), pressured Russia to commit to an unconditional ceasefire in Ukraine since Monday.
Early Sunday, Putin proposed holding direct talks with Ukraine in Istanbul on May 15, although they did not commit to a ceasefire.
Meanwhile, Trump is urging Ukraine to immediately accept the Kremlin's host's offer.
