Minister of Health Arūnas Dulkys does not think that the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic has already been reached in Lithuania, but at the same time he says that he also sees certain signs of stabilization of the situation.
"I can't answer this question, but it doesn't look like we're in it (pandemic peak - ELTA) yet," said A. Dulkys while answering journalists' questions on Wednesday before the Government meeting.
"Although in Western Lithuania, there are certain signs of stabilization in the Klaipėda region," he added.
The minister was most happy about the fact that the situation in the intensive care units of the hospitals was currently under control.
"It is a very important message that we have managed to stabilize the situation in intensive care over the last two weeks", asserted A. Dulkys.
ELTA reminds that last day, Tuesday, 2032 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) were confirmed in Lithuania, and 32 people died.
A total of 2439 of the 19 beds for the treatment of COVID-1972 are occupied.
