Bullying is an acute problem in Lithuania. Compared to other European countries, our country leads in terms of the prevalence of bullying, so more and more organizations contribute to reducing the scale of bullying in schools and society. The emotional support service "Vaikai linija" is organizing the "Action Week WITHOUT BULLYING" for the eighth time, the aim of which is to change public attitudes from favorable to unfavorable ones. As every year, the Lithuanian Children and Youth Center, which actively joins this initiative, invites teachers, students, parents and everyone who wants to get involved in bullying prevention events.
Already on March 20 pedagogues are invited to practical psychodrama seminar "Bullying: myth or reality?"", during which, together with psychologist Marina Mažioniene and theater expert Gintara Kazakevičienė, topics relevant to the communities of educational institutions will be examined: bullying, tolerance and respect for others. Those gathered, acting out and analyzing a fairy tale or story proposed by themselves, will delve into the mentioned topics. The non-traditional form of the session will not allow you to remain an observer, but will invite you to actively engage in the activity, experience and reflect on the feelings experienced. The psychodrama method used in the class allows you to better understand not only your relationships with others, but also to find answers to your own questions.
March 23 18 p.m. "Vaikai linija" and the Lithuanian Children and Youth Center invite everyone who does not approve of bullying to participate at the festive event "Bullies fear your disapproval". During the event, the performances and awards of the winners of the song and poster contests organized by "Vaikai lijna" will take place. Monika Linkytė, a singer who does not approve of bullying, will give the prizes to the young performers! During the festive evening, the Lindyhop group of the Lithuanian Children and Youth Center will perform, led by Daiva Veliulytė, saxophonist Remigijus Rančys and pianist Richard Banys will perform.
Everyone is invited to participate - children, their parents, grandparents, teachers who want to have fun. You can find the registration form for the event here.
The Lithuanian Children and Youth Center invites you to actively participate in the action "Action Week WITHOUT BULLYING" and participate in LVJC events, because only by being united and active will we be able to create a safe environment without bullying for all the children of our country.
