"We aim to ensure safe conditions for children who are studying in the primary education program and cannot be left alone at home while their parents are doing important work in managing the epidemiological situation. We ask the municipalities to provide opportunities for these children to come to institutions where they could learn and be supervised", says the Minister of Education, Science and Sports Jurgita Šiugždinienė.
Educational institutions will organize education and activities for elementary school children by ensuring the management of the flow of people, keeping a safe distance and other necessary conditions for public health safety, hygiene, provision of individuals with the necessary personal protective equipment, as determined by the head of emergency situation operations at the state level.

Compared to remote work in the spring, far more schools, students are equipped with digital tools, computer equipment and access to the Internet. 14 million has been allocated for the faster digitization of schools - the purchase of equipment, digital content and the improvement of teachers' qualifications.
