Vilnius city municipality signed a contract with the winner of the Tolminkiemi gymnasium construction works tender - the company "Jungtiniai projektai".
To prepare a work project and build a school, "Jungtiniai Projektai" committed for 16 million. 967 thousand EUR with VAT. The term of works is 15 months. It is planned that about 1000 young residents of Pilaitė will be invited to classes in the new school designed by the studio "DO Architects" as early as 2022. September 1st.
Construction will begin in the near future, and the symbolic burial of the capsule is planned in about two months.
"There have never been so many new schools and kindergartens in Vilnius. We plan that, with the help of the Government, another 8 new schools could appear in the capital," says Vilnius Vice Mayor Tomas Gulbinas.
Vilnius is intensively developing the infrastructure projects of educational institutions. The expanded Vilniaus Pavilnis pro-gymnasium has already opened - a new two-story, more than 1600 sq. m. m extension, equipped with 11 classrooms, a multifunctional assembly hall, and about 300 students will study. The construction of the Vilnius Pavilnis pro-gymnasium cost the city about 2 million. Eur.
A new building of the Balsiai pro-gymnasium branch was also built. 4900 sq. m area, two-story primary school accommodates about 600 students. This construction cost the city about 6,5 million. Eur.
Last September, after a break of almost ten years, a school for 1000 students - Gabija pro-gymnasium - was opened in Vilnius, Pashilaičiai - more than 10 thousand. sq. m area, four-story building. The construction of the Gabija pro-gymnasium together with the furniture cost about 14,3 million. Eur.
Currently, the Vilnius Joachim Lelevelis Engineering Gymnasium is also being opened Žirmūnai construction of an extension. About 300 more students will be able to study there next year.
Six new modular kindergartens were opened last year, which are already attended by more than 600 little Vilnius residents. Construction of 4 new kindergartens is planned.
