National Blood Center ir Vilnius University will sign a cooperation agreement on Wednesday.
The agreement provides for the development of cooperation in scientific-practical activities - to participate in the preparation of both local and international scientific-practical conferences, to participate in the implementation of European Union and international scientific projects and to carry out other scientific activities. The institutions planned to pay special attention to the development of free blood donation programs, to exchange scientific and methodological information, and to participate together in joint projects promoting free blood donation.
The joint activity document will be signed Vilnius University Dean of the Faculty of Medicine prof. Dr. Algirdas Utkus and temporary National Blood Center manager Ignė Klangauskienė.
In response to the information from the National Blood Center regarding the current lack of blood in hospitals, medical students are going to come together with the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and donate blood on this occasion.
