Two B division matches took place in the Nostra.lt-RKL championship.
On Thursday, the basketball players of Anykščiai "KKSC-Elmis" (3-1) achieved victory, beating Vilnius KM (69-50) 25:14 (15:11, 12:13, 17:12, 3:1) at home.
The hosts, who showed excellent defense, ran away from their opponents already in the first half, gaining a double-digit lead (25:14).
Vilnius could not score more than 14 points in any quarter.
It was the third victory for the Anykščiai team, and the first defeat for the Vilnius team. Both these teams are at the top of Group A of Division B.
Tautvydas Jodelis played the most productive match in the ranks of the winners with 15 points, Donatas Radžiūnas scored 14, Žygimantas Žiukas added 13 points.
For Vilnius, Aironas Urbanovič scored 11 points, Gustavas Vingrys and Jonas Skramtai scored 6 each.
On Friday, the hosts simply dominated in Širvintos. Širvintos-UHB Group (2-2) crushed Marijampolė sports center (121-48) 27:19 (30:12, 30:11, 34:6, 1:2).
The intrigue in the match continued in the first half, when the home team did not manage to pull away with a double-digit difference (27:19).
Later, the home team played two quarters of 30 points each, and sealed their victory with a phenomenal fourth quarter, winning it by a score of 34-6.
Having achieved the second victory, the Širvintos club ranks third in Group A of Division B, at that time it was the second failure for the Marijampolians and they are in tenth place.
As many as six basketball players scored double-digit points for the winners, and the most productive players were Rokas Jukonis with 22 points, Martynas Ramanauskas with 20 and Paulius Čiutas with 13 points.
Edgars Galeckas scored 16 points, Povilas Rutkauskas scored 14, Timas Dirma added 11 points for Marijampolians.
