In the A division, the October battles have ended. In the first month of the season, the clubs played a different number of matches - from four to seven.
In the championships, we have only one remaining undefeated team - Kėdainiai Sport Center (6-0). The students of Gediminas Butkaus dominate the start of the season, in which they had a serious challenge only in the sixth round, when Klaipėda 94:92 defeated LCC International University.
The duo of Laurynas Danieliaus (19,5 points) and Roko Ūz (17 points) stand out among the Kėdaini team.
"The goal of the season is to be among the four strongest teams and play in the final four. And there, as they say, it's a matter of luck, everything can be determined by one poorly or well played match, - said G. Butkus, coach of the Kėdainiai team. "So we want the opportunity to play such matches and be in the most important event of the season this year as well."
The Kėdainians are followed by the "Biržų" (5-1) club, which experienced its only failure of the season in Šilalė, where it lost 76:82 to the "Lūšies" basketball team.
Both teams competed in the Nostra.lt-RKL final four last season. Then the people from Kedana fell in the finals, and the people from Birje remained third.
The only team left in the championship is Akmenė sporto centras (0-5).
Vytautas Padgureckos' students are stuck playing at home, where they played the most productive game against LCC International University in three games, scoring 73 points (73:87).
The Akmenė city team came closest to victory in the last round, when they dramatically lost 92:95 to Šilalė's "Lūšies" basketball team.
The youth of "Žalgiris" (1-4) and "Ryto" (1-5) clubs have little to be happy about, having achieved one victory each in the championship.
These teams have already played matches against each other. Then the Vilnius team beat their main opponent 92:80 at home and won their only victory this season.
The start of the A division is different for the teams that competed in the B division last year. If Birštonas "Milasta" (4-2) has something to be happy about, then "Druskinīkems" (1-6) still need to find a winning recipe.
Druskininkės are the team with the most defeats this season, and they achieved their only victory by crushing VDU basketball players (101:80).
At that time, during the course of the season, the champions of the B division filled up with loud purchases, inviting 45-year-old veteran Mindaugas Lukauskis to the team, who really brings tangible benefits to the newcomers.
The Mohican of basketball plays 27,5 minutes, collects 12,3 points and is the second most productive player on the team, behind only Ovidijus Varanauskas (26,2 points).
Having achieved four victories, the people of Biršton share 3-4 places with Šiauliai r. The representatives of "Grafu-Kuršėnai SM" can still be overtaken by the teams "Tauragė", "Raseinių" and Kazlų Rūda "Ataka"-Kaunas College, who have the same number of victories and played one less match.
