On Monday, the Vilnius "Ryto" training session with local residents took place in the "Lazdynėlių vingis" apartment complex. This is the first, but not the last, fruit of the partnership between the real estate development company HOMA and Rytu outside the arenas.
The training, which was attended by the children of "Lazdynėlių vingios" and their parents, was led by the team's coaches Gustas Maskoliūnas and Georgios Dedas, and Ignas Sargiūnas, who joined "Ryto" this year and is projected as one of the team's leaders, helped with the training.
"Ryto" representatives learned game techniques and tactics with the children of the district, and also simply got to know each other and shared their future expectations and ambitions.
"Ryto" defender, 2023-2024 LKL season's "Breakthrough of the Year" title winner Ignas Sargiūnas said that such meetings with the younger generation can give her much more than just learned practical aspects of the game.
"In sports, inspiration and motivation often play a decisive role, especially among beginners, so I am not only happy to share my experience every time, but I also hope that such moments can change the children's attitude towards basketball or any other physical activity," I said. The watchman.
He was seconded by "Ryto" coach Gustas Maskoliūnas, who asserted that the club is always looking for opportunities to be closer to the people of Vilnius even outside the arenas.
"Rytas in the capital is more than a team, it is part of the identity of Vilnius, so we are happy not only to participate in community activities, but also to be able to share our experience and contribute to the growth of the future generation," said G. Maskoliūnas.
The training in "Lazdynėlių vingyje" was the first initiative of real estate developer HOMA to strengthen the communities of residents and the club. Last week, the company announced that it had become a golden sponsor of "Ryto".
"Those who know us better know very well that sports and relations with communities are one of the most important areas of our activity - both as a business group and as individual colleagues. I am glad that together with the "Ryto" club, we can turn all this into a great experience for the residents of our projects. I have no doubt that this is not the last joint initiative of this kind," said Jurgita Kveselaitė, head of Homa Group.
