In commemoration of the 2003th anniversary of the Lithuanian men's basketball team's triumph in the XNUMX championship, this Thursday the "Golden" national team will return to the field for one evening, where they will face the young talents of our country. However, the youth will receive reinforcements, as former basketball players Robertas Javtokas, Jonas Mačiulis, Darjushas Lavrinovičius and others are joining the team.
Last week it turned out that on September 21 Viliaus "Avia Solutions Group” in the arena we will see as many as 10 of the 12 basketball players who won European gold in the Swedish capital: Arvydas Macijauskas, Ramūnas Šiškauskas, Saulias Štombergas, Mindaugas Žukauskas, Eurelijus Žukauskas, Donatas Slaninas, Virginijas Praškevičius, Dainiai Šalengas, Giedrias Gustas and Kšištofs Lavrinovići.
And today it became clear that the rival team of the "Auksinė" national team will consist of young basketball players Emilis Bartninkas, Modestas Babraitis, Matas Vokietaitis, Dovydas Butka and Dominykas Butka, former basketball players Robertas Javtokas, Jonas Mačiulis, Darjushas Lavrinovičius and the oldest player of the Lithuanian Basketball League of all time Mindaugas Lukauskis.
The "Golden" national team, which conquered three million hearts, will be led by Antanas Sireika, as it was 20 years ago in Stockholm, and Valdemaras Chomičius will assist him. At that time, the joint team of young talents and basketball stars will be led by Darius Maskoliūnas during exhibition matches.

Seeing the composition of the teams, it can be safely said that the audience is in for the real "day of stars" in basketball. Not only basketball, but also musical and dance performances, a light show, an opportunity to chat and make memories with legendary basketball players, special games, prizes and many unexpected surprises will await the spectators of the match. During the event, Lithuanian Basketball Federation prizes will also be awarded to people deserving of basketball.
The profit earned from the event tickets will be donated to Lithuanian and Ukrainian support organizations, among which is the fund for supporting seriously ill children. Tickets are distributed by Bilietai.lt.
