For almost a month now, the attention of football fans has been captured by the European Football Championship. Residents of the Lithuanian Zoo are not left behind either. Some even try to become oracles and predict the winning team in the final.
"This is not the first time we have given animals a chance to see what awaits us in the future. For example, at the beginning of 2024, the Chinese water dragon living in the Lithuanian zoo predicted that this year will be generous. Like many sports fans, we are interested in the current affairs of football, so we decided that it is worth trying the animals' ability to predict the winner of the European football championships", says Gintarė Stankevičė, Director of the Lithuanian Zoo.
This time, the chance to shine in predicting the future was given to Kanela, a sheep from Quesland Island, who lives in the Livestock Village of the Lithuanian Zoo. Kanelė likes to kick the ball, so she was given the opportunity to drive the ball to the flag of one of the countries participating in the final. Kanele, at his discretion, unequivocally chose to drive the ball to the Spanish flag.
We will find out on Sunday whether Kanele's prophecy will come true and the Spanish national team will really win the European Football Championship. Who knows, maybe the first accurate prediction of a sports match will be the start of the career of Canelle the Sheep of Quesland Island?
Kanelė is a young Quesland Island sheep born this year at the Lithuanian Zoo. It is the smallest species of sheep in the world. They are able to perfectly adapt to the environment in which they live. These sheep have a calm temperament, which makes them easy to care for, and they feel great even in areas where pastures are poor enough.
We remind you that you can visit the Lithuanian Zoo and meet Kanela and all the other animals every day from 10:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m. (on Mondays from 11:00 a.m.). Tickets can be purchased at https://bilietai.zoosodas.lt/ or at the box office of the Lithuanian Zoo.
