After the defeat in the "Hegelmann LFF Cup" tournament, the coach of "Žalgiris" Vladimir Čeburin regretted the mistakes that ended the performance in the competition.
"Zalgiris" missed the first two goals in counterattacks, although they had a quantitative advantage of players in defense, and disappointingly scored the third goal themselves.
"Both teams had their own plan. Our goal was to break through the opponent's defense. We expected the defense to be tight and the opponents to counterattack. However, the opponent defended successfully. We had some exits in the penalty area, but not many. We made mistakes, missed a goal. Although there were more players in the defense than the attackers, it was not possible to manage. We started the second half more aggressively, trying to move the game in their direction. But we missed a counterattack and a goal. The third goal is absurd, but it is also a goal. The cup tournament will continue without us. That's a shame, of course. Our goal was all the trophies. However, one team continues," summed up V. Čeburinas.
