"JUMP Vilnius", an active leisure festival that has been gathering groups of active sports lovers in the capital's Gediminas Avenue for the past few years, is growing this year and becoming the Lithuanian distance sports festival "JUMP ON!". Every sports fan can participate and compete for awards at the event, which will be held throughout September.
Every Friday in September, the most famous Lithuanian track and field athletes and representatives of the entertainment world will invite people to compete in four sports challenges on social networks. September 4 Airinė Palšytė and Mantas Stonkus have a high jump challenge at an event on Facebook. September 11 Kostas Skrabulis and Dalia Belickaitė will present a sprint challenge. September 18 Vaida Padimanskaitė and Donatas Montvydas will compete in the triple jump challenge, and on September 25 Luka Garšvaitė and Mantas Bartuševičius will challenge the long jump.
"We want to give people an opportunity to have fun and challenge themselves. This is a sports festival in which everyone can participate, regardless of gender, age, place of residence, physical shape or hair color," says European indoor high jump champion and Lithuanian high jump record holder Airinė Palšytė.

Actor, comedian and TV presenter Mantas Stonkus, who challenged her to the high jump, says that the most impressive performance is not necessarily the highest jump or the fastest sprint.
"We should not be too serious - we will not choose the highest jump or the fastest sprint, but the most inventive, colorful or radiating the best emotions performance. You can high jump in a banana suit and you don't have to be bitter. You can sprint backwards or while singing "Three Million". We are an inventive nation, and "JUMP ON!" is a great opportunity to show it," says M. Stonkus.

Those who want to participate in "JUMP ON!" will only need to film how they creatively perform the challenges and upload them to Facebook and Instagram, tagging the accounts of the organizers of the event - "Sportland Lietuva". Each week, athletes and famous people who set challenges will choose three weekly prize winners, who will be awarded with the opportunity to choose goods in Sportland Lietuva stores for 400, 250 or 100 euros.
The partners of the project were the Lithuanian Athletics Federation and Sveikas miestas. The latter for everyone "JUMP ON!" the participating students are given a special challenge, during which all they have to do is to introduce themselves, which school's honor the student is defending, during any of the challenges thrown by the athletes and stars. Stonkus, and the second and third place winners will win prizes established by Sportland Lietuva, which organizes the project.

Even before the pandemic, together with our partners, we considered how we can expand "JUMP" and turn it into a Lithuanian event. Now it is happening. We strongly invite everyone to move, challenge themselves and have a good time, because this is the main goal of "JUMP ON!"", says J. Vēželis.
