In the final series, defending champions Vilnius VHC Šviesa and Klaipėda Dragūnas, who returned to the finals after a four-year break, are fighting for the title of champions. The first match at home was played by the regular season winners "Dragūnos".
Klaipėda citizens started the match successfully and in 8 min. led 5-1. Our team recovered in 21 minutes. equalized the result 13:13, and won the first half 20:18. Our team 42 min. gained the biggest advantage 27:23, but "Dragūnos" players managed to catch up with ours and in 50 min. the score was tied again at 29:29. The last ten minutes were a goal-to-goal battle and the winner was determined by the last attack. 2 seconds before the end of the match. VHC Šviesa received the right to take a free throw. At the sound of the final siren, our team captain Tomas Bernatavičius snatched the victory with a long powerful shot from the 9-meter line and closed the match. The final score was 35:34 - our team took the first step towards becoming champions.
