In Stockholm, Sweden, the international swimming competition "Malmsten Swim Open Stockholm 2023" continues, in which a Lithuanian swimmer also successfully participates Dan Rapšys.

Yesterday, bronze in the men's 400m. D. Rapšys, who won a ticket to his third Olympic Games in the style event, appeared on Friday morning in the 200 m. style in the match selection.

Lithuanian record: 1.44,38 min. – Danas Rapšys (2019) Olympic OQT norm: 1.46,26 min.

The Lithuanian, who started in the fifth qualifying swim, covered the distance first (1.47,10:1.49,73 min), overtaking the Frenchman Enzo Tesica (XNUMX:XNUMX min).

In the overall ranking of the strongest participants, our time was also the first.

Austrian Felix Aubock (1.48,74 min) showed the second best result in the selection, British Max Litchfield (1.48,99 sec.) was third in the morning.

In the final, the Lithuanian was even faster and finished in 1 minute. 45,69 sec. confidently fulfilled the second Olympic norm (1 min. 46,26 sec.).

D. Rapšis, who probably started the distance and stormed forward, was unable to overtake his rivals, and the most serious challenge to the Lithuanian was Austrian F. Aubock, who came second (1 min. 46,22 sec.). M. Litchfield finished third (1 min. 48,93 sec.).

Let us remind you that in 2019, D. Rapšys set the Lithuanian men's record for this event - 1 min. 44,38 sec.

The Lithuanian has already fulfilled the necessary standards (in the 200 and 400 breaststroke events) for this year's World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan.

In Stockholm, D. Rapšys is registered to swim 100, 200, 400 m. style and 200 m compl. way.
