D. Rapšis, who probably started the distance and stormed forward, was unable to overtake his rivals, and the most serious challenge to the Lithuanian was Austrian F. Aubock, who came second (1 min. 46,22 sec.). M. Litchfield finished third (1 min. 48,93 sec.).
