How would fashion fans imagine paradise? It would certainly have easy access to new designer collections and iconic pieces from France's most famous fashion houses. Next week, just such a "Fashion paradise" will open in the center of Vilnius for a few days only - the biggest sale of luxury creations of the most famous designers in Lithuania will take place here. It is true that "Chanel" will not bring its latest collection to the capital's Vokiečiai Street, but famous and stylish Lithuanian women will hand over their used and loved handbags, cashmere sweaters, cocktail and day dresses, famous red-soled high heels and much more to new hands next week.
"The further you go, the more common it becomes to resell second-hand, good-quality clothes, and for the other party to purchase them." It's amazing because suddenly Balenciaga is available to everyone. Good and high-quality things, as long as they are loved and cared for correctly, can last a long time, and as people's values change, no one throws clothes away anymore, people wonder how they can make their consumption more conscious, less polluting to nature. However, this does not stop fashion fans from constantly wanting to update their wardrobe - because if you love and appreciate beautiful things, you will always find ones that you don't have yet and that you really need. I myself am one of those women whose heart melts when trying on new clothes", says Aušra Prasauskaitė, creator of the "Fashion Paradise" concept.
She notes that although small "flea market" type sales are popular in Lithuania, this is the first time that it will be possible to choose from such a wide selection of clothing and accessories from luxury designers and fashion brands that are currently popular abroad in one place for several days. "Besides, such a sale provides a double benefit to both sides: one side gives their clothes for resale and they no longer have to worry about driving somewhere and standing with their clothes waiting for customers. After all, it's a kind of exposure, showing what you have and for how much you've bought it, and it's really not pleasant for many women. And it creates a certain barrier for buyers - it's not always brave to ask the price of a piece of clothing you like, because you can't predict whether it will fit your budget or not, you might feel uncomfortable, maybe the seller will pressure you to buy, and so on," says A. Prasauskaitė.
Being big herself fashion fan, she felt that such a sale would deeply move many Vilnius women. "Quality and luxury cashmere sweaters suddenly cost as much as a polyester sweater from a fast-fashion chain, and luxury designer handbags can cost half their original price or even less." I had a feeling that these types of deals would definitely be of great interest to women, but I was surprised by how many messages I received asking if there would be a chance to get in on the sale before the others, even before the official opening on Wednesday! This is the rule of sales - first come, first served, because we will have one unit of many products. Unfortunately, there are no opportunities for long deliberations," says the organizer of the sale.
"Fashion Paradise" will be held in Vilnius for five days - from Wednesday, October 16, to Sunday. Not only famous and stylish women will share their clothes and accessories: the organizers cooperate with different partners in order to offer the widest possible variety of styles, brands, sizes and prices, so some Vilnius boutiques and the Lithuanian clothing resale platform "Karuselle" will participate in the sale. ". Not all goods will be used - some of the offer will have tags and will be brand new. Here you will be able to buy not only clothes and accessories, but also gold and diamond jewelry with great discounts. "I hope that people will not only be happy to buy something beautiful, but will also appreciate that by smart shopping, you can really afford to buy something that, at first glance, from advertisements in magazines, seems to be available only to the chosen ones," says the designer of "Madas rojaus".
