On May 10th, Contemporary Art Center will briefly become a catwalk without a catwalk – one of the most anticipated rituals of the fashion season will take place here – “Fashion infections" model castingNo, it's not just about "proper proportions" and a perfect profile, it's about character, movement, gaze, and that inexplicable "something" that works more powerfully than filters or modern algorithms.
It doesn't matter if you're a professional model or a "green" newcomer - if your posture speaks louder than any CV, you're almost on the catwalk.
This time, the “Fashion Infection” model casting will greet everyone with the fundamental question: “Who are you?” This is not just an invitation to the stage, it is an invitation to meet yourself, because the podium is not only a test of beauty, but also a personality test. Traditionally, “Fashion Infection” annually puts not ordinary faces on the stage, but stories, not smooth lines, but character. This casting is not only a selection, but also an experiment in self-knowledge. Are you brave? Quiet? Strange? Rebellious? Reconciled? It doesn’t matter. The important thing is to be real. Everyone who feels that their place is not in the crowd, but one step ahead is invited to participate, the fashion festival podium has no age or gender limits. It has only one condition – to be who you are.
"This year, "Fashion Infection" will welcome fashion lovers with experiments and a particularly non-standard podium, the length of which is as much as 210 meters! So a completely non-standard experience awaits the models walking on it. Those who lacked self-confidence or hesitated are especially welcome this year. As every year, we are especially looking forward to brave guys, because this year's "Fashion Infection" designer collections pay special attention to them. It is gratifying that the standards of models continue to move further and further away from the 90s supermodel image every year, and designers choose exceptional personalities to present their collections," says Ieva Patapavičiūtė, the festival's model curator.
"Fashion infection" has always gone against the grain. It's not about "perfection" but uniqueness, so if you've ever said to yourself: "Maybe I'm too weird for this world" - it's very possible that you're exactly what we need.
