"Mados Infekzija" starts: 2020 times in 22 - strong numbers dictate a new tone. When the rules of global fashion change fundamentally, and the real catwalk is increasingly called the street, it is necessary to react - "Infection" changes the format! April 24 and 25 everything will happen the other way around. The only relic of the festival, the space of the Contemporary Art Center, will open up from new angles: the boundaries of the podium are the entire building, the direction of movement is not directed, the dedication is to freedom!
New Year – the same question: what's new? When it seems that everything has been done, a fundamental turning point for change has arrived – I'm not afraid to deny the rules in order to continue to improvise freely. "Fashion is simply life, in which there are fewer and fewer statics, restrictions, and, whether we like it or not, robots are increasing. Real and imaginary – those that devour time, nerves and paper. "Fashion Infection", started as a manifesto, does not state what is good – we leave it to the understanding of each individual. This year we are consciously constructing the event as a living experiment: how much freedom does a person need to create, to be? The viewer will be able to move freely throughout all spaces, choose their own angle of observation or company nearby, and eventually leave if they don't like it. The live image will be duplicated by a multitude of projections – all the action online in real time. "The standard version will not burn out this time - the intrigue, even for us, will remain until the last moment," says Sandra Straukaitė, the conceptual director of the upcoming festival.
Donelaitis' "METAI'2020"
Although the prospects of robotization are tempting, the most sustainable creature on Earth remains a human being – born from dust, you will return to dust, you will not leave behind lithium battery dumps. The myth of eternal youth is spreading as quickly as last year's silicone, and you understand with your own fur that age is just a matter of attitude. When people of generations X, Y and Z work in a team, common points of contact appear in the most unexpected places, and most often in virtual space. Today, the most gigabytes are pumped by "Fashion Infection" from Amsterdam, where the characteristic artist Deimantė Jasiulevičiūtė lives and works, creating the festival's graphic identity.
It wouldn't be surprising if his grandmother walked the catwalk next to his grandson. "Once upon a time, the appearance of mature personalities at a fashion show was shocking news, today it is a universal reality. The only thing that inevitably passes is youth," S. Straukaitė ironically says.
A man without a place
If you don't have a phone, you don't have a connection, if you don't have a number, you don't have a seat. For the first time in the history of the festival, tickets without seats, because the audience is an equal participant in the event and the action! The atmosphere is non-binding - you don't have to sit. There will be no bad angle, you can feel free to change the viewing angle and seat at any time.
Intense pace and only one break. The train won't wait for latecomers, but it won't slam the door in your face. Last year's 250-meter-long catwalk is nothing compared to this year's ambitions. The distance to the models is minimal – every couture is within arm's reach.
If you haven't photographed something, you've seen it. I'M NOT A ROBOT.
