Fortunately, Lithuania has the fastest internet in the world, because heavyweight sketches flowed like a conveyor belt from all over Europe until the last minute. No, the rookies didn't miss the final night. Yes, the young are breathing down the necks of the old. On November 16, the 17 finalists will present themselves at the Vilnius railway station. When there is zero fear, the target is the whole world!
And what's next?
"In recent years, the competition "Injekcija" quite aptly reflects the actualities behind the scenes of fashion. In addition to a strong desire to stand out from the environment, the consumer is satisfied with mass production that does not taste bad, so the demand for unique design is noticeably decreasing. The great ambitions of young people are stopped by a basic lack of finances and zero state support. It is not surprising that the most talented leave to look for opportunities abroad, but in the long run they settle in the sewing rooms of large corporations. So what is the further role of a fashion designer?" asks Sandra Straukaitė, a designer and one of the commission members of the "Injekcija" competition.

"I want to believe that the podium of "Injektions" will be the first for this year's finalists, but it is far from the last. When we watched the sliding hangers with the latest collections during the photo session in the logistics center of our main partner, from where the clothes go to the "Apparanga Gallery", I think all the young designers imagined their future scenario. As much as we can encourage and help, we do it with full force. The future depends on everyone's personal stubbornness and the thickness of their wallet", S. Straukaitė reasons.

Ambitions to create an international fashion talent competition allow us to enjoy rich results this year - applications were received from 11 European countries. When there are fewer and fewer podiums and opportunities for newcomers to show their creativity, the interest from abroad is noticeably higher every year. Brains that have gone abroad also return: most of the Lithuanian finalists study or work outside of Lithuania.

The commission selected 17 designers from several dozen applicants - ten Lithuanian and seven foreign designers. On November 16, Benita Klimbytė, Ekaterina Titova (Russia), Inesa Moliušytė, Jaroslav Glazunov (Russia), the duet of Karolina Šekštelytė and Greta Poškaitė, Katrin Aasmaa (Estonia), Liepa Aliukaitė, Lina Misėkaitė, Reda Paula, Saimonas Tartenis will present their collections to the audience. , Samanta Zykaitė, Saulė Gradeckaitė, Sondre Engesæth (Norway), Tatyana Golubeva (Russia), TOMMASO (Cyprus), Una Berzina (Latvija) and Vaida Voraitė.
The password for participants is HE.ROJUS. It will soon become clear whether Lithuania is really a PARADISE for fashion designers.
