May 6-12 in Vilnius, Beautiful, Klaipėda, in Šiauliai, Telšiai and Anykščiai, the "Design Week" festival will be held for the fourteenth time, emphasizing the importance of original ideas, insightful solutions and professional design every year.
The theme of this year's festival is progress. We invite you to welcome spring with news and variety - to pay attention to the achievements, progress and innovations of recent years. We do not draw any boundaries - we aim to expand the concept of design, to provide space not only for aesthetics and performativity, but also for insightful functionality and future solutions while maintaining quality. This year events intended to reveal design as diverse, adaptive, comprehensive and progressive, understandable not only to the design community, but interesting and important to the general public as well.
This year, more than 100 unique exhibitions and events are waiting for festival visitors in the program, which will introduce the most current trends in the field of design and the projects of designers, companies, and higher education institutions in the country.

"I am happy that we managed to implement a number of innovations in this year's program. For the first time in the history of the festival, we are organizing an auction of Lithuanian design, presenting both historical and contemporary works of Lithuanian designers, paying attention to their uniqueness and aesthetics. We also organize free tours of factories and creative workshops, with which we aim to familiarize developers with real product production technologies and characteristics, which will help create feasible, production-adaptable projects. AUCTION OF LITHUANIAN DESIGN
The Lithuanian Design Forum, in cooperation with the Vilnius auction, presents the first event in the history of the festival Lithuanian design auction. At the event, you will have the opportunity to purchase real Lithuanian design icons, unique design works that have become benchmarks. Among them are Mr. Vitkauskas' KU-DIR-KA rocking chair, LM Kislauskaitė-Stapulionienė's chaise longue, avant-garde "Sedes Regia" products. Also, the EMKO studies of today's Lithuanian design discoveries, unique units that make the country famous - R. Gražio, S. Tarvydas, V. Puzer, I. Marcinkevičienė, T. Jasiulio, L. Kvašytė, A. Rimšaitė, V. Geča, "Kitaip ", "March", "Zefyras", "Old New" and other pearls of designer's creativity - they are all here.

"WEATHER DIARIES" EXHIBITION
The "Weather Diaries" exhibition was created in collaboration with the artist-curator duo Sarah Cooper (b. 1974, JAV) and Nina Gorfer (b. 1979, Austria), who spent two years visiting Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands to explore how island environments, cultural identity and traditions influence the creativity of local artists and designers.
Unlike traditional anthropologists who present a scientific approach to the local communities they study, S. Cooper and N. Gorfer transform their observations into poetic stories captured by the camera lens. Their experiences are conveyed in staged portraits full of symbolism, layers of color and texture. Each portrait, as can be seen from the textile installations on display, was created together with local fashion designers.
Presenting ten Icelandic, Greenlandic and Faroese fashion designers, the exhibition moves away from the traditional world of fashion and its seasonal fads. Instead, the emphasis is on creativity and the factors that influence it: cultural identity, traditions, nature, landscape, weather, as well as the innovative Nordic approach to creating sustainable fashion from local resources.

For the first time in the history of the festival, exclusive free factory tours and creative workshops are organized. The purpose of the events is to demonstrate real production technologies and characteristics that will help create feasible, production-adaptable projects. This year's program includes as many as four different companies.
- ALTAS AUTO invites young industrial designers and engineers who are interested in the automotive industry to a special tour of the Altas Auto factory! Altas Auto applies innovative solutions in production, constantly improves the production organization process based on the Lean methodology, and thus ensures an increase in efficiency. The factory uses an advanced business management system, 3D product design software SolidWorks and Catia, as well as prototyping equipment including CNC machines, vacuum thermoforming machines, 3D printers and more.

At the "Design Week" festival, the ecological design association EKODA will present an innovative idea - the ECO ROOM exhibition of Lithuanian design objects made from natural, recycled, ecological raw materials, where visitors will see the interior of a room based only on ecological and sustainable design solutions. All design objects exhibited in ECO ROOM or even the entire room can be purchased immediately.
The ecological design association EKODA believes that ecology should naturally fit into our everyday life, come to all of our homes.
