In the sky of Lithuanian design - the winds of mysticism, which were blown by the new "Gėda Pelėda" Spring/Summer collection of handbags.
Kristina Lisauskė, who creates handmade leather handbags, is often inspired by the expression of nature, and her latest Owls are no exception. "The equinox is a magical phenomenon that inspired me to dedicate a new collection to nature and the human connection with it. Balance, symmetry, exactly the same parts, mysticism in time and place, things that have lost their reality - I wanted to infuse all this energy into handbags," said the creator.
The new Owls models are distinguished not only by their day and night colors, but also by their design solutions - details of handbags that emphasize symmetry.
"One part of the collection is dedicated to the night and its mysticism. Here, seriousness prevails, romantic shapes, blurred colors, handbags are distinguished by delicately reflective leather surfaces, which distort images that tickle the imagination. I dedicated the next part of the new collection to the day and its light: these models symbolize lightness and brightness, a more playful color palette prevails", said the poetic K. Lisauskė about her latest works.
With her works presented in the spring/summer collection, the designer remained faithful to nature, but did not forget the aesthetics, quality, and functionality of Owls, which have already become a business card. New works are a leather-like collage of handbags and backpacks, suitable for both daytime comfort and evening elegance. This season, K. Lisauskė not only presented a new collection, but also remembered the previous ones: the colors of the most popular models so far were complemented by new colors - deep blue and dark purple. However, this is not the end either: next month, handbags will be colored in even fresher, spring tones.
This year, the new Spring/Summer collection is also enriched by an unexpected collaboration - "Gėda Pelėda" became the producer of paraphernalia for the 22nd Vilnius "Kino pavasaris" festival. The most popular Owl leather accessories dressed in the colors of the festival have become part of the history of the biggest film festival in Lithuania. Kristina herself claims to be a fan of high-quality cinema, so contributing to the festival with her works was not only a joy for her, but also quite a challenge.
"After all, every attribute of the festival goes down in history in one way or another, so I really tried to do everything perfectly. I was given the opportunity to create an accessory for a true film fan, which will preserve his memories of this particular festival. Magic, no different. "Kino pavasaris" accessories are of very limited edition, so they will definitely end up in the hands of a real collector of moments", Kristina was happy.
