"Utena trikotaž" starts selling antimicrobial face masks

"Utena trikotaž" starts selling antimicrobial face masks. An independent microbiological research laboratory in Great Britain has confirmed that masks with special technology produced by the SBA group company "Utenos trikotažas" destroy more than 96% of bacteria. viruses and other microorganisms that got on their surface.

Swiss technology is used in production

The masks created by the company are given this quality by the successful production of a special Swiss technology designed to strengthen the resistance of textile products to various infections. Its effectiveness against the coronavirus pathogen is up to 99,9%. Currently, it is one of the most effective technologies for providing antiviral properties to textiles, the effectiveness, sustainability and safety for humans are confirmed by research, certificates and significant awards.

"In March, we were one of the first textile manufacturers in Lithuania who promptly began the production of face masks. Since then, we have been intensely interested in advanced innovations that would enhance the protective properties of face masks. Today, we offer our customers the best that we could create using the latest technologies available at the moment and our many years of production experience," says Petras Jašinskas, manager of Utena trikotaž.

Microorganisms that get on the surface of the mask are killed

Since face masks have become an integral part of life, most people are already used to wearing them, but they are not always changed or washed in time. The surfaces of improperly maintained masks are particularly favorable for the accumulation of viruses and bacteria, which creates an additional risk for the spread of infections. After applying advanced technology, face masks acquire additional resistance against various infections - microorganisms that get on it are killed within a few hours.

The new collection of face masks by "Utena trikotaž" has been supplemented by two different models - plain face masks and face masks with various patterns. Masks can already be purchased in the "Utena trikotaž" online store.

3D design - shape that fits the face

"In addition to additional protective technologies, we paid no less attention to the search for the right design to make the masks as comfortable as possible. In the design process, innovative 3D modeling technology was used, which made it possible to create a shape that perfectly fits the face. We created masks of different sizes, and special straps allow you to additionally adjust the elasticity of the product", says Renata Varaneckienė, UTENOS brand manager.

If the specified care instructions are followed, i.e. washing the masks at a temperature not higher than 40 °C, their properties remain for up to 30 washing cycles. Due to the antimicrobial properties, these masks do not need to be washed every day - several times a week is sufficient, depending on the intensity of wear.

The masks produced by "Utena Trikotaž" are non-medical, intended for multiple use. These masks act as an additional measure that can help stop the spread of pathogens, but do not necessarily protect healthy people from infection.

"Utena Trikotaž" is the largest and one of the most modern textile manufacturers in Central and Eastern Europe. In addition to contract manufacturing, the company manages two retail brands - UTENOS and ABOUT. The ABOUT brand develops the "ABOUT Baltic Underwear" and "ABOUT The Sensology of Wear" lines. The "Utena trikotaž" group of companies also includes the companies "Šatrija", "Gotija" and "Mrija" (Ukraine). 92,31 percent The stake in "Utena Trikotaž" is owned by the SBA group.
