"The geological processes that took place during the Ice Age, that is, the erosion of the Neris River to the sides and depth, formed the Valley of Songs. Borehole no. In area 2, a segment of the V supraalpine terrace (aIIIbl5) of the old valley of the Neris River with a plinth horizon was discovered. It is a gravel, the base of which is on the eroded loam of the Mediinkai suite of the Middle Ice Age. The alluvium of the terrace subsided at a depth of 0,6-1,73 m. The small thickness testifies to the right edge of the bed of the Neris River bed that used to be here.
