Chazbiewicz - Vilnius district a rural street village, which in 1628-1631 mentioned the nobleman of Tatar origin, the scribe of Ashmena land, Jonas Kirdiejus. From this village, the road led to the Gardin highway, near which there were several taverns.
The Kazbei Bridge over Vokė was built in the 1935th century. in the XNUMXs (presumably around XNUMX), it was produced by the Polish company Spółka akcyjna wielkich piecach i Zakłady Ostrowieckich. The spatial structure of the bridge is a single-span truss bridge, structural elements: frame foundations, concrete embankment supports, steel riveted overlay. Exactly the same trusses are used in New Vilnius for the bridge across Vilnius (Šiaurės st.). Another similar (only four-span bridge) is the old Nemenčinė bridge. Both of these bridges have an asphalt-concrete covering, and the Kazbeyi Bridge is unique in that it still retains its wooden covering.
in 1941 June 23 surrounded by the forces of Nazi Germany, the army of the Soviet Union was moving towards the city along the old Gardin highway. At the Kazbeyi Bridge over the Vokke River, after the Nazi German army shot at the Soviet Union T-34 tank, the burning machine crashed into the bridge structure. The first one was hit by the second BT-7 light tank. According to local residents, the fallen tankmen of the Soviet Union are buried next to the bridge. It is assumed that the cross standing next to the bridge, surrounded by a high metal fence, marks their burial place, which is still maintained by the residents.
in 2018 the emergency bridge had to be closed and started to be dismantled, but the residents actively reacted, gathered at the bridge and prevented the workers from starting work. The Real Cultural Assessment Board of the Department of Cultural Heritage considered the case of the Kazbeyi Bridge and gave it legal protection. The nature of the architectural, engineering, historical and landscape valuable properties has been determined for the bridge and the level of regional significance has been assigned.
