It is a very stressful situation during peak hours, when many people are rushing home and really don't want to sit in traffic jams. However, there are tricksters who, thinking only of themselves, try to trick and bypass traffic jams in various ways they have invented. From time to time, such "tricks" lead to violations of traffic rules. We have already written about a driver who crossed the double continuous lane on Goštauto Street very rudely and drove against the traffic and almost rammed a truck. You can read more about this event HERE.
The driver ignored the one-way traffic marking
Very close to that place - another traffic accident. Many people know that Vasario 16-osios street, located on the side of Lukiškių Square, is a one-way street. It turns out that not everyone thinks so - one driver decided to open two-way traffic. This time the accident was avoided, because the reader who recorded the event with a video recorder managed to return to the first lane in time.
"I didn't believe at all that a car would run straight at me. I return home to Naujamiestis on this street every day and luckily I managed to get back to the first lane in time. Even though I signaled, the driver drove away at a high speed to Goštauto Street", says Tomas, who shared the video footage with Made in Vilnius editors.
He also mentioned that he registered this traffic incident with the e-police.
