Minister of Transport Marius Skoudis does not exclude the possibility that flights with the United Kingdom may be resumed from January 1.
"With all the information I have right now, it's really likely that January 1st. We coordinate with the neighbors. (…) Latvija are inclined to renew on January 1, the Estonians should indicate their position today, I know for sure from my conversation with the Polish Minister of Communications before Christmas, they plan to apply the restrictions until January 6," said M. Skuodis to "Delfi TV".
"This is what we are negotiating between the three Baltic states, a renewal is likely, but we will still have to coordinate the mutual health protection requirements among ourselves," he added.
Passenger flights from the UK are banned until the New Year. The decision was made due to a new strain of coronavirus spreading in the United Kingdom.
