As the travel season gets underway, one of the largest low-cost airlines,Ryanair" is introducing new rules from May that will affect all passengers flying from Vilnius airport and other cities served by the company. Vilnius Airport Administration informs about this.
"We would like to inform passengers that hand luggage and boarding rules will change from May, so we invite you to plan your trip responsibly and avoid additional costs," the airport said in a statement.
Only one small handbag or backpack (up to 40 x 20 x 25 cm) will be allowed into the cabin free of charge, which must fit under the seat.
To have additional larger hand luggage (up to 55 x 40 x 20 cm), you will need to purchase an additional service - usually this is Priority boarding or a separate baggage fee.
A fine of up to 70 euros may be imposed at the airport for oversized or improperly packed luggage.
Recommendations for travelers
Vilnius airport advises all travelers to carefully check their luggage and not leave the following details until the last minute:
- Check the dimensions of your luggage before your trip.
- If necessary, purchase additional baggage service online in advance - it's cheaper than at the airport.
According to aviation experts, such solutions are becoming increasingly common among airlines seeking greater operational efficiency and lower costs.
Vilnius Airport urges travelers to be alert, informed, and prepared - this is the only way to ensure a smooth and pleasant start to their journey.
