In response to the changed passenger flows during the warm season, when some residents are on vacation and the overall traffic intensity in the city decreases, timetables are being adjusted - certain routes will run less frequently. However, this year passengers are also offered more opportunities to travel comfortably and quickly in the city.
Compared to last year's summer season, more public transport will be operating in the capital this year. This will ensure smooth communication both on weekdays and weekends.
Changes to traffic schedules
One of the most significant changes is the more frequent operation of express buses. From now on, they will run more frequently 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, as well as 87 and 115 route buses, so travel will become even more convenient and faster. Express routes continue to remain an important public transport axis in the capital, and during the summer season their travel intervals will be shorter in order to ensure faster and more efficient communication between city areas.
Connectivity to popular recreation areas is also improving. of the 15th route buses will run more frequently on weekends – this will improve communication with Valakampiai I beach, one of the most visited leisure spots in the city. In addition, the 4th trolleybus route route – from now on, this trolleybus will run to Valakampiai II beach. This solution will provide more convenience for passengers planning trips or daily trips in this direction.
Route track changes
Passenger requests were also taken into account when planning of the 65th route schedule – from now on, an additional flight has been added at 7:40 a.m. from Pagubė stop. This will allow a smoother start to the morning journey for those who start their workday earlier.
Due to planned road works on Verkių Street, starting from June 21 (Saturday), bus departures from Verkiai bus park. All buses departing from this park will take changed routes – via Žvalgų Street or Žirmūnų Street. Passengers are asked to pay attention to these changes and plan their trips in advance.
