JUDU, an institution providing mobility services in Vilnius, informs the capital public transport passengers about the current possible malfunctions of the composters. As indicated in the official announcement, while the technical malfunctions are being repaired, passengers are urged not to panic and to continue their journey calmly.
"Currently, there may be malfunctions in the composter. While the malfunctions are being repaired, we invite passengers to continue their journey calmly - controllers will take into account the temporary malfunction," JUDU said in a statement.
This means that passengers who encounter non-working composters will not be penalized if they are unable to mark their ticket or activate their e-ticket in the app. The situation will be assessed during the control, and the recording of violations will be more flexible during this period.
"We apologize for the inconvenience and wish you a nice day," the public statement reads.
While the malfunctions are being repaired, passengers are advised to save proof of ticket purchase or activation, if possible, and monitor information about the situation updates on the official JUDU channels.
