JSC "Communication services" reports that Olandų st. a new pedestrian crossing regulated by traffic lights has been installed, which aims to ensure the safety of schoolchildren and other pedestrians traveling to and from Polotsk public transport stops (in both directions), security.
The traffic light regulation of the crossing started working on May 14.
"The new Olandų Street pedestrian crossing is equipped with a modern audio signal for the visually impaired and blind, which adapts to the ambient noise. Pedestrian buttons that emit sound will make it easier to find your way around and find them," the statement reads.
Video cameras are also installed at this crossing, which will ensure the prevention of traffic violations.
