Capital cities police confirmed that a suspicious black box was reported in Vilnius on Friday under the viaduct, near the Seimas Hotel. One side of the Geležinis Vilkas street tunnel was closed.
According to the police, at 12 o'clock 1 min. a report was received that when driving from the center, towards Savanorių avenue, under the viaduct, where the Seimas hotel is located, there is a black, possibly plastic box on the sidewalk.
"The reporter is afraid that there may be an explosive in the box," Julia Samorokovskaja, representative of the Vilnius County Chief Police Commissariat, told Elta.
The officers who arrived at the scene introduced the "Shield" plan, as well as the fire brigade, ambulance, the Management Security Service and the Lithuanian Police anti-terrorist operations team "Aras" were informed about the incident.
13:15 p.m. Traffic on Geležinios Vilkas Street, Savanorių Ave. toward open. It is said that the report has not been confirmed, there is no explosive in the box.
