For some time now, UAB "Grindos" road workers have been reconstructing one of the most important 300 m long sections of Geležinio Vilko Street, between Ukmergė st. and Žalgirio str.
"Grinda" representatives present the work that has already been done:
- From Ukmergė st. to Linkmeni st. the top layer of the asphalt surface was milled at the beginning of the year (in order not to disturb the traffic, the work was done mainly at night). In the near future, a new 2-layer asphalt concrete surface will be laid here;
- A dome-shaped water collection well with a diameter of 1,5 m has been installed. During intense rains, it will improve the passage along Geležinios Vilkas street. Rain collection wells of this type are installed by T. Narbutos, Dzūkis, P. Vileišios and others. g. in the lowlands.
The work continues - currently the street curbs at the Vilnius Japanese Garden are being replaced, and sidewalk renovation works are being carried out in parallel.
"Temporary traffic restrictions are in place during the repair, so please pay close attention to the road markings. Take alternative routes if possible. We apologize for the inconvenience," the statement reads.
