In order to make it easier to pay for parking in Vilnius, from this Sunday - October 1. - changes to the provisions of the local parking fee come into force: the deadline for paying yellow tickets is extended - instead of the current 72 hours, the daily fee can be paid within 168 hours.
We remind you that the full-day toll fee (issuance of yellow slips) is only applicable if, during the control, it is determined that no toll fee has been paid for parking.
Lower annual fee
Also, a lower annual fee of EUR 30 comes into effect, not only for motorcycles, but also for mopeds, tricycles and quadricycles in the red, yellow and green toll zones.
Permits are issued at Customer Service Centers. Upon arrival at the location, it is necessary to fill in the permit application and submit the vehicle registration certificate. An electronic permit is issued to the owner of the vehicle, which is valid in the previously mentioned local toll zones.
Other changes coming into effect
Changes to the regulations also provide for simplified provision of parking spaces for temporary use, for example, during filming, temporary restrictions, construction and similar cases.
Taking into account the requests of the Ministry of the Interior and related institutions, the concept and conditions of special vehicles, when they are not subject to a local toll, are also changing.
