Good news for the residents of Olandų Street and the surrounding districts - the capital repair of the almost 1,5 km long street has been completed. Over the course of a couple of months, the almost 400-meter long section of Olandų Street between Filaretų and Polotsi Streets was repaired - the curbs were replaced, sidewalks were repaired, new LED lighting was installed, rainwater collection wells were replaced, and signage was updated.
"More than 40 people travel along Olandų street every day. of Vilnius residents living in the central part of the city, In Užupi, in Antakalni, Žirmūnai, in New Vilnius. This important street for the city encircles the Old Town and connects several important arteries of the capital. Olandų Street was repaired in stages: last year, an almost kilometer-long section of Olandų Street from St. the church of the apostles Peter and Paul towards Užupis. The four-lane section of the street was replaced with curbs, a new continuous asphalt surface was laid, worn manhole covers were replaced, and signage was updated. While maintaining the section of the street from Olandų ring to the Museum of Military Technology and from S. Bator and Drujo st. to Filaretė st. rainwater collection wells, road curbs, asphalt laid have been replaced.
Street maintenance and other works are currently taking place in Karklėnai, Kaniaviškii, Kalviškii, Metalo, Gerosija Vilties, Švisa, Žemaitė, Krivii, Sėlii, Šeimyniškii, Kalvarii, Žalgiris, Lviv, Baltosios Vokės, Zaliijii Ežeri, Juodšilii and other streets.
